We have immediate opening for Wintel Specialist for one of our major clients based on Chennai location.

Job Description

 

Title Reporting to	Sr. Wintel Specialist (Windows, VMware  & Citrix)
	Team Lead , Windows Projects

Skills required

Years of Experience: 7 +Yrs

The following skills are required to be successful in performing this position.

Technical
Must have	v 8+ years of relevant experience on deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows Server based products including 2000\2003 & 2008 R2 v 6+ years of relevant work experience of deploying, hosting & supporting applications using Citrix XenApp v 4+ years of relevant work experience  of deploying, hosting supporting Server Virtualization Products like XenServer * VMware v 6+ years of relevant work experience of deploying & supporting various cluster technologies for eg.  Microsoft Failover Cluster v Knowledge on how Active Directory & DNS functions v Knowledge on TCP/IP & Networking v Experience of working in financial institution v Project Management Capabilities v Extensive scripting skills using PowerShell, VB, WMI & MFCOM v Good Working knowledge on Dell PowerEdge Servers v Technical Certifications like MCITP, VCP, CCEA v Experience in drafting project information/approval/implementation documents. v Experience in disaster recovery practices and procedures.
Non-technical
Must have	v Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to communicate with the business at senior level v Excellent ability to prioritise and control activities and deliver results within budgetary and resource constraints. v Independent and confident, but willing and able to harness the expertise of others. v Must be able to manage external (vendor) resources. v Must be able to coach staff. v Must be flexible in terms of tasks and working hours including working on weekends if needed. v Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Role	v Person in this role is expected to work on various high value, complex Wintel technology projects. v Able to work with third party vendors and in-house SD teams. v Is able to automate and enhance various Wintel SA BAU operations and self healing mechanisms as part of build to run functional transition.
