Senior Engineer, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive

Role

This position requires both data architecture and coding skills. You MUST have
significant hands-on experience working with Hadoop clusters on AWS, as well as
designing and implementing MapReduce flows. You need to be familiar with Hive and
SimpleDB and be a very strong Java coder. You will need experience with
relational data bases, must be good at writing SQL queries and be able to work
with data analysts, modelers and statisticians. You must be an independent worker
who understands the unique demands of big data systems and can write the
MapReduce and HiveQL processing code.

Required Experience

•Experience building large data processing systems using Hadoop, MapReduce and Hive.
•Experience building systems based on Amazon Web Services components.
•Expert in Java and object-oriented design methodology and pattern-based design.
•Experience developing scalable and reliable data logging and analysis systems
•At least 7 years developing cutting edge software
•Experience in relational and non-relational database design
•Experience developing web services (http, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST)
•Experience in at least one of Python, PHP, Ruby
•Excellent hands-on knowledge of Linux OS.
•Experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum, XP, Test-Driven Development a plus

Business Finance Analyst.

Title: Business Finance Analyst

Would be responsible for MIS reporting support to business finance.

Revenue analysis:
• Support Analysts in reviewing Service revenues at month end, understanding variances to forecast.
• Report on underlying KPIs relating to revenue from the PA and OKS systems
